We focus on developing and implementing a synthetic approach to facilitate studying plant development in C4 and C3 plants (Research Area 3). To explore and control the cellular process, we will integrate novel technologies, including optogenetic and advanced microscopy. Further, targets will be selected to study the different development processes during leaf and root growth in C3 and C4 plants.
