Research Focus
Root development and root-microbe interactions are often dynamic processes underpinned by accurate regulation and execution of genetic programming. Compounded decisions in form and function need to be coordinated in a multidimensional space and executed precisely. Whilst there is some understanding on the overall mechanisms governing this at tissue-level, we are mostly lacking this at the single cell level. I am working on creating tools with sufficient resolution to probe for this vital understanding in vivo and of individual cells.
