Dr. Vicente Ramírez
Research focus
My group applies synthetic biology approaches to elucidate the mechanisms underlying the synthesis of plant cell wall carbohydrates and the signaling cascades triggered by cell wall defects. While these activities connect naturally with RA3, my main research focus is strongly aligned with RA2: mechanistic understanding of plant–microbe interactions mediated by cell wall carbohydrates and their impact on resilience and resource use efficiency.
