Research focus
The plant innate immune system and its function is of global interest to provide solutions for agricultural challenges and sustainability needs. Recent advances in the field show that the EDS1 protein signalling complex, essential in the immune response, needs ribosylated nucleotide second messengers to assemble. My research focuses on the use of these second messengers to generate immune stimulated plants.
