In my research I apply a novel electrofusion technology using isolated rice gametes and sperm cells, followed by Cas9/Cpf1+sgRNA genome editing, to generate blast- and blight-resistant rice genotypes without transgene integration. This approach enables targeted mutagenesis, ensures stable inheritance of resistance traits, prevents foreign DNA integration, and preserves valuable agronomic characteristics of elite rice cultivars.
