Research focus
Plasmodesmata (PD) are the nanoscopic connections between neighbouring plants cells, and translocate a diverse range of cargo (eg, RNA, proteins, transcription factors). My research investigates PD distribution throughout tissues, so as to understand how cellular connectivity alters in response to the environment. My work aims to understand PD distribution plasticity, response to the biotic and abiotic environment, and process of primary PD biogenesis.
