Research Focus

Plant roots are colonized by microbial communities, called the microbiota, that provide diverse functional capacities to the host. Plants exude up to 20% of fixed carbon into the soil, presumably to feed their microbiotas. My work focuses on identifying and elucidating the mechanism of key player(s) involved in the control of carbon exudation for the plants-microbiota interaction.
