Research Focus
Too little or too much: Iron uptake into and its distribution and storage inside the cells must be well-regulated to avoid deficiency or toxicity. This homeostasis, especially the interaction between the involved proteins and the regulation of each, is yet not fully understood. My research focuses on identifying and characterizing plasma membrane-bound proteins in vivo involved in this network.
