CEPLAS scientists at Wissenschaftsfestival

With interactive activities and engaging insights, CEPLAS brought the excitement of plant science to the public.

On November 15, 2025, CEPLAS participated in the 1st Cologne Science Festival with its own booth at the Bazaar of Science in the Rautenstrauch-Joest Museum in Cologne, sparking great interest among visitors eager to learn more about plant research. Many took the chance to talk with our scientists and explore current research topics.

During the Speakers’ Corner, Graduate School members Susanne Vollmer and Eva Blankertz gave inspiring talks about their work.

A special highlight was the children’s drawing competition, where young participants illustrated their own creative ideas of the “plant of the future.”
