Planter’s Punch
Under the heading Planter’s Punch we present each month one special aspect of the CEPLAS research programme. All contributions are prepared by our early career researchers.

About the author
Craig Dent is a postdoctoral researcher in Korbinian Schneeberger’s group at the Max Planck Institute for Plant Breeding Research. With a background in molecular biology, genetics, and computer science, he works on the assembly of plant genomes and develops new ways to make better use of the genomic resources already available. He also investigates historical records of potato breeding to identify promising targets for DNA sequencing. Craig collaborates internationally and, when not deep in code or chromosomes, enjoys a game of padel.
