Students from Lima visited CEPLAS

As part of a DAAD program, students from the University of Lima, Peru, visited the Institute for Synthetic Microbiology (HHU).

CEPLAS member Ilka Axmann invited the students from the faculty of Sciences, Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina, Lima, Peru, to visit her laboratory and HHU from August 26 to 29. The students received funding from the DAAD program "Study trips for groups of foreign students in Germany 2024" and traveled under the supervision of PhD Ilanit Samolski, Laboratorio de Micología y Biotecnología "Marcel Gutiérrez-Correa".

During this visit, the students were introduced to research activities of the Institute by meeting scientists and scientific seminars of early career researchers working on topics related to Synthetic Biology.
