Ernesto Llamas receives GO-Bio initial grant

Ernesto Llamas has been awarded the GO-Bio initial Machbarkeitsphase grant by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. The grant covers a two-years period with a total funding of €496,840.
The primary goal of his project on Huntingtons’s Disease is to modify SPP, a protein derived from plants, so that it specifically breaks down the harmful protein aggregates in patients. This innovative therapeutic strategy could potentially make Huntington’s disease treatable and enhance the lives of patients and their families.
