CEPLAS member receives prestigious Future Science Prize
The Future Science Prize aims to recognize outstanding scientific work with long-term significance and is awarded in three categories. The collaborative work of Jijie Chai and Jian-Min Zhou has uncovered a significant aspect of the plant immune response: the activation of the immune response through the formation of resistosomes. Understanding how resistosomes work has the potential to revolutionize plant disease management and is therefore of immense importance to global food security.
