INSPIRE - Career Talks with Women Plant Scientists

This talk is part of the event-series entitled “INSPIRE. Career talks with women plant scientists“, which is organized as a collaboration between CEPLAS, TRR 341,  CRC 1208 and MibiNet. The series is designed to raise the visibility of women in science, particularly those in leadership positions, and to provide early career researchers with inspiring role models. Through these talks, we aim to highlight the diverse career paths in science, the key decisions that shape those journeys, and the skills and resources that contribute to building a successful scientific career.

This event, co-hosted by CEPLAS and TRR 341, will feature Antje Heese, an expert in vesicular trafficking in plants. In addition to sharing her scientific insights, Professor Heese will reflect on her own career journey, having lived and worked in four different countries at various stages of her career, all while balancing family life. She may also provide valuable insights for those interested in pursuing a PhD or postdoctoral research in the U.S.

Following her talk, there will be a discussion session where participants can ask questions and gain valuable insights into building a career in science. Lunch will be served alongside the event, offering light finger food, and will extend into an informal networking session, providing an excellent opportunity to connect with fellow researchers.
