Helping Hands

To support our researchers in balancing their research commitments with care responsibilities, CEPLAS has established the "Helping Hands" program. This program provides financial support for hiring student assistants, who support with routine tasks and help mitigate time restrictions due to caregiving responsibilities. Support is available during pregnancy, for parents with children (up to 12 years), and for scientists with elderly care responsibilities.

The Helping Hands program is designed to offer the necessary flexibility for successfully managing both work and personal life, recognizing the varied life circumstances of our researchers.

This resource has been particularly well-received by early career researchers and junior professors. While family-friendliness is often discussed in relation to mothers and female researchers, interest in the "Helping Hands" program is growing among both mothers and fathers in our cluster.

For more information on the application procedure, please contact CEPLAS Equal Opportunity Office.
