I want to develop and use existing cell layer and developmental-stage-aware statistical methods and apply them to the characterization of the spatial coordination of transcription factors in different cell layers of the developing barley inflorescence. The identified spatial patterns will be integrated and compared with gene regulatory network generation efforts. A comparison to the inflorescence of other accessions and grasses will be used to infer robustness and general biological patterns.
