Research Focus
Iron (Fe) is a very important micronutrient that regulates many processes in plants. Fe deficiency and toxicity cause severe morphological and physiological disorders in plants. Dynamic Fe signalling in plants tightly regulates Fe uptake and homeostasis. Abscisic acid (ABA) is a key hormone involved in tuning many environmental and developmental responses. The aim of my research project is to explore the role of ABA in finetuning the iron homeostasis processes.
