New functions for Maria von Korff Schmising

The CEPLAS member was elected as President of the Society for Plant Breeding and appointed as a deputy member of the ZKBS.

At its main meeting this year, the Society for Plant Breeding elected Maria von Korff Schmising as its new President. She will start in her new position on October 1.

As a deputy member of the Central Committee for Biological Safety (ZKBS), she will furthermore represent the plant breeding sector. The expert panel advises decision-makers in politics and administration by providing expert opinions and contributes to safety in the field of genetic engineering.
