CEPLAS PIs contributed two chapters to the book „Photorespiration - Methods and Protocols“

22/08/2017

The new edition is part of the series Methods in Molecular Biology (Springer Protocols)

On August 19th, the new volume „Photorespiration - Methods and Protocols“ was published (volume 1653 2017). The book was edited by Prof. <link internal-link internal link in current>Andreas P.M. Weber, speaker of CEPLAS / Institute of Plant Biochemistry at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf (HHU) together with Prof. Alisdair R. Fernie from the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Plant Physiology in Golm and Prof. Hermann Bauwe from the Plant Physiology Department at the University of Rostock.
With this new volume the editors intended to give a comprehensive overview of contemporary methods for the analysis of photorespiration in higher plants. Scientists from Europe, USA, Australia, Canada, Brasil and China contributed their protocols.
<link internal-link internal link in current>Veronica G. Maurino (CEPLAS / Institute of Developmental and Molecular Biology of Plants at HHU) and Martin K. M. Engqvist (Chalmers University of Technology, Göteborg) contributed a protocol on <link https: link.springer.com protocol external-link-new-window internal link in current>“Metabolic Engineering of Photorespiration”.
The second CEPLAS contribution comes from the group of Andreas Weber and is a set of protocols for the characterisation of transport proteins entitled <link https: link.springer.com protocol external-link-new-window internal link in current>„In Vitro Analysis of Metabolite Transport Proteins”. Further authors besides Andreas Weber are Marc-Sven Roell, Franziska Kuhnert and Shirin Zamani-Nour, all from the Institute of Plant Biochemistry at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf.
