Statement on the EC study on new genomic techniques

German researchers welcome the European Commission's assessment on the adaptation of the current GMO legislation

On April 30, 2021, the long-awaited study of the European Commission on the status of new genomic techniques was published. The study is intended to serve as a basis for the discussion on a possible revision of the EU GMO legislation.

In a public statement, numerous researchers and institutions now welcome the European Commission's assessment on the adaptation of the current GMO legislation.
