Transatlantic Summer School - Frontiers in Plant Sciences

Please complete all sections of this form in English. After you have successfully submitted your online application form you will receive an email confirmation including further information on how to submit your required documents as listed below. Therefore, please have all documents prepared before submitting the online application form.

Required documents for an application:

  1. Abstract of your research project (2.000 characters max.)
  2. Motivation statement, explaining why you would like to join the Summer School (2.000 characters max.)
  3. CV including publications (3.000 characters max.)

Applications to the Transatlantic Summer School are assessed based on the abstract of your research project, your motivation statement and your CV.  A number of projects will be selected for a short talk during the Summer School. All other successful applicants are required to present a poster.

Application deadline: 25 March 2019

Successful applicants will be notified by: 01 April 2019

After the notification of application acceptance by the organising committee the applicant has to confirm the participation by Email until 7. April 2019.

The course fee is EUR 145 and includes full board and all activities. Travel costs are not included.

The working language at the Summer School is English.

We will send you a confirmation receipt after the submission of your application to the email you have provided. If you don’t receive a confirmation receipt please check your email address and resubmit your application.

Image Rights

By registering, you agree that during your attendance to the “Transatlantic Summer School” pictures may be taken of yourself by an official of the Summer School. You agree to use of such pictures for advertising purposes (CEPLAS website, social media and printed works) by the organising committee. If you do not wish to have one’s photograph taken, you are required to formally advise the organising committee in advance.

Insurance

The organisers do not provide insurance and do not accept liability for personal accidents, illness, for loss of or damage to private property, nor losses of whatever nature incurred by participants because of the participation to “Transatlantic Summer School”. Participants, therefore, are strongly recommended to arrange their own appropriate insurance coverage and to check the validity of their own travel insurance.
