Research focus
Our research combines experimental measures of functional variation with the signature of selection at molecular and population levels in plants. From the analysis of single genes or QTLs underpinning adaptive traits such as microbe detection or life history, our work progressively incorporated genomic approaches, particularly the analysis of allele-specific expression, to identify the footprint of polygenic selection in gene expression data, stress responses, and complex traits. We are now including ecology into our analysis of molecular evolution and tackle questions related to endangered species, interspecific introgression, urban ecology, and landscape genomics.
