Plants are constantly exposed to various biotic and abiotic stresses against which they developed different coping mechanisms, such as leaf movement, hormone biosynthesis and mobilization of metabolites. Local stress perception can trigger plant-wide (systemic) signaling events to protect tissues not exposed to the stress. In my project, I am focusing on the generation, systemic transmission and responses of signal(s) caused by high intensity light stress.
