Research focus

My group will focuses on the systematic identification of regulatory amino-acid residues and posttranslational modifications (PTM) of major C4 proteins. Protein variants will be analysed at the biochemical and molecular level and the functional importance will be tested in transgenic plants. We will also analyse the cyrcadian control of C4 photosynthetic proteins by systematically comparing the diurnal changes of transcripts, proteins and metabolites of closely related C3/C4 species pairs.
