Postdoc Onboarding

17 Postdocs, who became a member of the CEPLAS Postdoc Program within this or last year, met at HHU Düsseldorf on March 8 for an onboarding meeting.

Besides general information about CEPLAS and the postdoc program, the meeting included presentations about the offers of the CEPLAS Equal Opportunity and Diversity Office and the Junior Scientist and Researcher Center JUNO. In addition, the work and the offers of Data Science and Management, the Imaging Platform and the Center for Plant Genome Engineering were introduced to the postdocs.

In the afternoon, the group visited the plant growing facilities on the Campus and the Botanical Garden, where HHU’s Plant Growing Manager also showed the group some special and very rare plants in the South Africa Greenhouse and the Dome. Part of the group took the opportunity to continue interactions with new colleagues over a drink at Café Weise.
