Last Friday, the grand opening took place in the central hall of the Center for Synthetic Life Sciences. The building will house the HHU groups that were established within CEPLAS I (Axmann, Ebenhöh, von Korff Schmising, Pauly, Stich). In addition, the Molecular Proteomics Laboratory and the Genomics and Transcriptomics Laboratory of the BMFZ, the CEPLAS Plant Metabolism and Metabolomics Facility as well as parts of the Center for Advanced Imaging (CAi) will move in.

The close proximity of the new experimental and theoretical groups and the technology facilities within this new building will in the future surely support the interdisciplinary research within the Center for Synthetic Life Sciences.
