On February 14 2018, the Minister of Culture and Science Isabel Pfeiffer-Poensgen visited the Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf (HHU). The visit included a campus tour where several locations such as the Student Services Center, the oeconomicum and the new Center for Synthetic Life Sciences (CSL) were presented. The CSL will house all newly-established CEPLAS professorships and the core technology platforms of the HHU.
Inside the CSL, Cluster speaker Andreas Weber gave a short introduction on the work of CEPLAS and the importance of plant science to approach global challenges such as food and nutrition security.
The visit took place as part of a ”Hochschultour“, where Minister Pfeiffer-Poensgen visits all universities and research institutions within NRW.
