Jane Parker honored as Fellow of the Royal Society

The CEPLAS member is among the 80 scientists from around the world who have been elected as the newest Fellow of UK's national academy of sciences.

Jane Parker is group leader within the department of Plant Microbe Interactions at the Max Planck Institute for Plant Breeding Research in Cologne. Janes’ group focuses on understanding how plants regulate their immune responses and how they can turn on key defence mechanisms. 

Jane has been selected to join the Royal Society for her substantial contribution to the advancement of science. The Royal Society is dedicated to ‘promote, and support excellence in science and to encourage the development and use for science for the benefit of humanity’.
