CEPLAS@Nacht der Wissenschaft 2019

Last Friday, this year's " Nacht der Wissenschaft" took place in the city center of Düsseldorf. Between 5 pm and midnight around 10.000 interested people visited the over 50 contributions by researchers from HHU and other participating research institutions. CEPLAS contributed with an exhibition stand on the topic "Alles Mutanten". Different examples of food and drinks were shown which each are the result of heavy plant breeding such as grapefruits, cabbage or beer. With the help of these examples CEPLAS researchers explained different kinds of plant breeding as well as their legal regulation to the interested public.

In addition, Andreas Weber took up the topic in the form of a science talk - a highly interactive discussion with the audience.
