Research Focus
My CEPLAS project focuses on understanding the complex regulatory networks that plants use to maintain iron (Fe) homeostasis. Iron is a vital nutrient affecting processes like photosynthesis and stress responses. By integrating large-scale gene expression data with computational modelling, I aim to reconstruct and simulate the hierarchical gene regulatory circuits underlying Fe deficiency responses in plants. This research combines experimental validation and mathematical approaches to uncover regulatory mechanisms, enabling predictions of gene expression changes and improving plant Fe nutrition under fluctuating environmental conditions.
