Research Internships for undergraduate students

CEPLAS awards fellowships to undergraduate students in Cologne and Düsseldorf to raise interest of excellent and talented students in plant sciences. Each year we offer around 12 fellowships, i.e. 3-week fulltime research projects in a CEPLAS laboratory to 3rd semester B.Sc. Biology/Biochemistry students. Students with a background in mathematics, physics or computer science but interest in plant biology are highly welcome to join one of the interdisciplinary CEPLAS groups. 

The students work for three weeks on a plant science topic in one of the CEPLAS working groups in Cologne, Düsseldorf or Jülich and will be supervised by a member of the respective working group. The undergraduate students get an employment contract as a student assistant covering120 hours.

Application

The application for research internships starts annually in November, interviews take place in January. Further information on the application procedures will be announced on time here. The research internship will be carried out on an individually chosen period in February-July of the following year.
