CEPLAS Programmes

Besides excellent research CEPLAS aims to promote innovative training programmes for young scientists. Therefore, CEPLAS offers first-class training and study programmes to students, doctoral and postdoctoral researchers to prepare the next generation of plant scientists and bioinformaticians.

Due to the advance in technology and methodology plant scientists nowadays encounter different requirements and challenges compared to some years ago. Current developments require mostly interdisciplinary approaches and a broad knowledge in statistics and bioinformatics.

The comprehensive training programmes therefore focus on classical trainings courses (e.g. classical biology courses, transferable skills etc.) and strongly on scientific training in quantitative biology, synthetic biology and computational approaches.
